About the Role:
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of projects from start to finish. You will collaborate with senior managers, sales, estimating, and engineering teams to align customer expectations with company objectives. Your ability to ask insightful questions, identify unstated assumptions, and resolve conflicts related to scheduling and fabrication will be crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and milestones that meet contractual and client time requirements.
- Monitor accounts receivable, liaising with accounting and clients for timely payments.
- Regularly review project budget status and take necessary actions to keep projects on or under budget.
- Manage and monitor the critical path on the master schedule, ensuring the Assistant Project Manager oversees all assigned aspects.
- Foster strong customer relationships by providing timely and accurate responses to inquiries.
- Stay updated on industry technologies, methodologies, and concerns to ensure departmental productivity meets project demands.
- Ensure installation teams have all necessary information, including shop drawings, specifications, scheduling, site access, etc.
- Conduct on-site visits to ensure successful project kickoff, mid-term progress, site readiness, and completion.
- Keep clients informed about project developments, change orders, timeline changes, etc.
- Maintain close relationships with on-site client personnel, reviewing schedules, site conditions, dimensions, and product details.
Qualifications:
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Excellent multitasking and problem-solving abilities
- Capability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- 5+ years of project management experience in the construction industry
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (preferred)
- 2+ years of experience in millwork or cabinet making (preferred)
- PMP certification or willingness to complete within 3 years of employment
