Description About this role: This Sr. Program Manager will help enable Research and Advisory Tech Purchasing capabilities through the effective management of Tech Purchasing-related projects. The individual in this role will support the achievement of business objectives and satisfaction of business needs by coordinating, implementing, managing, measuring, and monitoring the effectiveness of ITLTP Tech Purchasing programs/projects assigned by the Tech Purchasing Capability Leader.
Gartner's Tech Purchasing Capability is the set of end-to-end activities that assist our clients with every stage of technology (and services) purchasing. The capability serves to increase client value primarily through governance of tech purchasing-related Expert Interactions. It encompasses the key areas of: policies and training, expansion strategy, expert automation and analysis, and support and collaboration for related initiatives.
This role is critical to R&A Expert relationship management and training efforts in a variety of Tech Purchasing areas and includes programs aimed at enablement of capabilities within Gartner's Global Business Services (GBS) teams. This role will partner with stakeholders across business units (within R&A, IT, Sales and Service Delivery organizations), aligning the resources necessary to meet Tech Purchasing capability objectives.

What you will do: Successfully contribute to the delivery of ITLTP Tech Purchasing business objectives by developing, implementing and managing projects that deliver business-critical outcomes and impact.
Partner with key business partners in Research and Advisory to capture operational and business requirements and successfully establish and execute on strategies and tactical plans.
Lead by example and manage all assigned Tech Purchasing programs and projects. Manage program/project resources effectively and ensure balanced and consistent load across projects and programs.
Demonstrate effective and timely issue resolution and root cause analysis.
Execute on initiatives with a targeted strategy that will achieve measurable improvements in process effectiveness, process efficiency and client (internal and external) service satisfaction.
Drive results through communication, feedback and change management to ensure successful adoption and success of program outcomes.
Problem-solve by reflecting an understanding of stakeholder barriers to actions, and suggestions of correct approach/methodology to overcome those barriers with focus on practicality, testability, scale and use/re-use. Offer alternative solutions dynamically as situations change.
Maintain an excellent understanding of Research areas supported, internal/external business management & informational needs. Become the "go to person" for all related questions and issues.
Apply project planning methodology to all projects, underpinned by fact-based data and change management methods. Create, manage and communicate success measurement criteria to continually assess outcomes that improve project execution.
Be confident in engaging with multiple levels of stakeholders from research, advisory, analyst, other teams and clients (if applicable) to share and explain the data, relevance and use cases for tools and deliverables aligned to projects, products and workstreams.
Implement regular project reporting (monthly/quarterly) to key stakeholders to communicate progress and metrics measurements. Identify and communicate challenges to stakeholders in real-time.
Design and deliver project-related communications and presentations to all management levels within and beyond R&A. Manage ongoing interactions and communications with internal stakeholders.
What you will need: Bachelor's Degree or higher or equivalent work experience.
5+ years business experience, with progressive responsibility, in an extremely fast paced work environment.
2+ years Project Management experience.
Demonstrated track record of managing optimized processes, projects and programs in a global environment.
Solid experience with Microsoft software including Excel, Word, PPT, Project and PowerBI and their application to perform analysis, distribute clear information and deliver effective communication.
Working knowledge and demonstrated usage of databases, analysis tools, and standard business reporting tools.
Strong analytical skills to include identification of requirements and problem-solving techniques.
Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a broad spectrum of roles and titles.
Demonstrated attention to detail.
Demonstrated track record applying change management best practices to strategies, projects, and programs.
Excellent negotiation, influencing, collaboration, communication, and presentation skills.
Demonstrated expertise and knowledge of Research & Advisory-related processes, particularly regarding Gartner's Global Business Systems (GBS) is a plus.

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 84,000 USD - 115,920 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
