The Process Technology Intern will support progression of a well-defined research project related to nature based ingredient processing. The Intern will be involved in evaluating a sequence of unit operations, optimization of process parameters and scale-up of new products / processes in the pilot plant. The work would include running lab and pilot trials, evaluation / validation of new analytical techniques, interpretation and analysis of process and analytical data, defining scale-up conditions / requirements and producing pilot quantities of the final product for internal and customer evaluations

Qualified candidates will need to have:
Progress towards a bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or related field
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Working knowledge of basic computer software applications such as MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Ability to work 40hrs per week during the summer internship term

Be a currently enrolled student in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program. If currently enrolled in an undergraduate status, must have completed at least three years of coursework with status as a junior, senior or non-graduating senior.
