Details of the offer

DESCRIPTION Amazon Fulfillment Technologies (AFT) powers the physical engine at the heart of Amazon. AFT builds and operates software, hardware, and processes that run the global network of fulfillment centers that move many billions of units of inventory, employ tens of thousands of people, and ensure that customers get what they want when we promised we would get it to them. We do this by building automated solutions to handle things that technology does well, while relying on people to handle things that humans do well.
AFT is seeking a product manager to help us define high visibility/ impact products for a green field initiative, at the heart of Amazon's operations. In this role, you will work across business and technical organizations to break down complex business requirements into manageable products to solve complex technical problems, balance business needs versus technical constraints, and ultimately drive successful product execution in a timely and agile manner. You will have end-to-end ownership of long-term product vision and feature definition.
Our Flow systems automate the flow and labor management decisions within the fulfillment facilities. From the moment inventory is scheduled to arrive into the fulfillment center it is processed and stowed to ensure its readiness to fulfill customer orders. Once the order is placed the inventory is picked and the customer shipment flows through various manual and robotic processes up until customer package leaves the fulfillment facility on its way to the customer. Our systems ensure fast and optimal flow within the building by putting just the right resources at the right locations while automatically surfacing and resolving any unforeseen risks to ensure Amazon Associate safety and experience and help Amazon to constantly keep its promise to the customers while optimizing and expanding its business operations.
Key job responsibilities
The ideal candidate brings hands-on industry experience, and is well-versed in working across multiple partner teams to deliver complex solutions. If you have excellent judgment and communication skills, are a strong problem-solver, have the ability to influence people by creating win-win solutions, and want to make a direct impact on Amazon customers, you have found your next role.
You should be comfortable engaging with all types of customers ranging from executives to developers, and warehouse operations. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for strong business owners who can Think Big and are comfortable sharing that vision with Amazon's senior leadership.
A day in the life
Amazon offers a full range of benefits that support you and eligible family members, including domestic partners and their children. Benefits can vary by location, the number of regularly scheduled hours you work, length of employment, and job status such as seasonal or temporary employment. The benefits that generally apply to regular, full-time employees include:
