Principal Generator Electrical Engineer

Provide technical support in the Engineering Services department for the Power Uprate Project. The successful candidate will perform the duties as a Generator Engineer for the power uprate. The engineer is responsible for oversight of the generator and support systems impact assessment and sponsoring and implementing related power uprate modifications.

Job Responsibilities
• Assess the required scope of work and exploring various alternative solutions for required modifications.
• Sponsor plant modifications through the plant approval process.
• Ensure adequate systems integration
• Lead engineer for modifications
• Prepare and support factory and plant startup testing
• Interface with Project Manager to ensure that Engineering deliverables meet the overall project goals.
• Provide field support during modification walkdowns, installation, testing and as-built verification.
• Assigned duties in the Emergency Response Organization

Required :
• BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical degree with 13 years of experience performing related Engineering work in a nuclear power plant or related industry.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience directly related to generator engineering, design and testing.
• Availability for shift work during installation.
• Must meet Nuclear requirements for unescorted plant access.
• Must possess a valid US driver's license and maintain a satisfactory driving record.

Desired :
• Power uprate experience at a pressurized water reactor (PWR)
• Prior Design Engineering configuration control qualification
• Professional Engineering license (NJ or other state)
