Contract Rate: $35.00 - $65.00per hr DOE Job Description:
Oversees engineering change proposals, design reviews, audits, scheduling, and budgeting.
Leads development and implementation of computer-based configuration, data management systems and electronic data systems, and electronic data support.
Leads development and design efforts related to configuration/data management documentation.
Presides over the monitoring of contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure standards and requirements are being met.
Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a good understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements.
Confirms that requirements and the development and implementation of computer-based configuration, data management systems, and electronic data systems has been satisfied in accordance with law/regulation
Conducts analyses of business and user needs, documentation requirements, and translation into proper system requirement specifications.
Oversees development and implementation of new processes.
Evaluates, defines, standardizes, and tracks data elements and object names. Required Skills:
Extensive knowledge of systems engineering principles as applied to Configuration Management requirements defined in Air Force Regulations and industry standards
Professional Engineering License desired
Systems Engineering Certification desired
Ability to apply CM fundamentals relative to implementation/maintenance of organizational configuration management processes involving Management and Planning, Configuration Identification, Configuration Control, Configuration Status Accounting and Configuration Verification and Audit
Ability to develop concrete action plans to solve problems
Ability to apply precedent to situations, insuring that decisions are consistent and justifiable
Ability to establish performance goals and assess progress toward their achievement
Ability to adjust work operations and program objectives to meet emergencies, changing programs, or production requirements within available resources and with minimum sacrifice of quality or quantity of work
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Education/Certifications:
BS degree in Engineering Management, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field + 15 years of experience
OR
MS degree + 12 years of experience
OR
PHD + 9 years of experience Clearance - U-FOUO - TS/SCI, PRP
