Responsibilities:
- Estimate the cost of plumbing projects based on blueprints, specifications, and project requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to understand project goals and develop accurate cost estimates.
- Prepare comprehensive and competitive bids and proposals.
- Review project scope and identify potential risks or challenges.
- Conduct on-site visits to assess existing plumbing systems and provide accurate estimates for repair, renovation, or installation projects.
Essential Job Functions:
- Analyze project plans and specifications to identify plumbing material and labor requirements.
- Utilize industry software, such as Procore, FastPIPE, or Simpro, to streamline estimating and bidding processes.
- Research and analyze current market trends to determine competitive pricing for plumbing materials and services.
- Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing for materials and labor.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of project estimates, bids, and proposals.
Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in plumbing estimation.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with Procore, FastPIPE, or Simpro is highly desirable.
