Seeking a talented and driven Platform Discovery Scientist to join their dynamic team, you will play a crucial role in advancing their tRNA-based therapeutic platform, contributing to the development of novel treatments for a range of genetically defined diseases. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of scientists and researchers in a fast-paced, innovative environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and execution of experiments to elucidate the mechanisms of action underlying tRNA-based therapeutics. Drive the discovery and development of novel tRNA constructs and delivery systems, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and methodologies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize therapeutic candidates for preclinical development. Analyze and interpret experimental data, presenting findings to internal stakeholders and contributing to scientific publications and presentations. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field of RNA therapeutics and actively contribute to the scientific community through participation in conferences and scientific meetings. Contribute to the development and implementation of research strategies to advance the company's therapeutic pipeline. Qualifications: Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field with a focus on RNA biology or nucleic acid therapeutics. Strong background in RNA biology, with expertise in tRNA biology and function preferred. Proven track record of designing and executing experiments to characterize RNA-based therapeutics, preferably in an industry setting. Proficiency in molecular biology techniques, including molecular cloning, PCR, RNA isolation, and gene expression analysis. Experience with cell culture techniques and functional assays to assess RNA-based therapeutics' efficacy and safety. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently troubleshoot experimental challenges. Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences. Highly motivated with a passion for translating scientific discoveries into innovative therapeutics to address unmet medical needs.
Compensation for this position ranges from $120,000 - $150,000 + package (commensurate to experience and background).
