Responsibilities
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, clients, and employees• Answer phones following company phone etiquette standards• Monitor instrumentation alarms and respond in a timely manner• Maintain awareness of surroundings for safety hazards• Retrieve blood samples and prepare specimens for testing• Monitor and accurately enter specimen information• Receive and process samples from clients and other Interpath sites• Maintain specimen integrity and translate physician orders• Package samples for referral labs and distribute reports• Follow established safety protocols and daily checklist• Adhere to HIPAA and Medicare rules, participate in quality assurance
Requirements
• High School graduate or equivalent• Medical Assistant/Phlebotomy License (WA state only)• Good communication, accuracy, and organizational skills
