Under the direct supervision of the pharmacy operations director, the pharmacy support analyst is responsible for conducting on-site clinic audits to help maintain the integrity of the 340B program and will analyze and review in-house prescription claims for correctness and contractual compliance. The pharmacy support analyst communicates regularly with contract pharmacy TPAs and pharmacy vendors and will continuously monitor in-house pharmacy inventory for DSCSA requirements. The pharmacy support analyst will also prepare monthly financial and analytical reports and will complete all training and education required to maintain their Nevada State Board of Pharmacy licensure and PTCB national certification.
Prepares documents for pharmacy financials Prepare documents for internal and external audits Responsible for formulary cost updates and pricelists Prepares reports for grant needs Monitors volume at each contract pharmacy location Partners with Business Intelligence to ensure accurate and timely information is sent to third party administrator Assists with contract pharmacy troubleshooting Maintains up-to-date record keeping on pharmacy contracts and policy and procedures Analyzes internal reports for pharmacy performance and growth opportunities Develops and maintains internal and external vendor relationships Facilitates and schedules calls with vendors and outside partners Assists with 340B site reviews at all clinic locations Prepares and assists in the monitoring and various tracking and reporting measurements to ensure compliance with the 340B program. Ensures that reporting meets organizational, regional, national, state, and federal requirements/guidelines. Develop systems and processes to limit program liabilities and provide proper audits to identify risk and prevent duplicate discounts and diversion. Assigns staff to 340B University OnDemand training based on their role/responsibility Provides proactive education to staff on policies and procedures related to inventory management and 340B procedures Maintains records related to job function and contributes to reports Monitor ordering processes, integrating the most current pricing from wholesalers Analyze invoices, shipping, and inventory processes Routinely communicates any questions, issues, or discrepancies with the appropriate authority. Reports monthly savings opportunities. Ensures appropriate documentation and audit trail across areas of responsibility. Manages and tracks clinic 340B drug inventory, including proper replenishment. Tracks, trends, and reports 340B pharmaceutical sales and purchases data to ensure patient eligibility. Continuously monitors product min/max levels to effectively balance product availability and cost- efficient inventory control. Supports compliance efforts with the DSCSA (drug supply chain) program requirements. Maintains system databases to reflect changes in the drug formulary or product specifications. Performs trouble shooting with pharmacy software vendor. Ensures compliance with regulations related to 340B purchasing. Routinely monitors utilization records and 340B purchasing accounts to ensure that software or tools are working properly. CMS training is completed and records maintained Completes all necessary training for NVHC in a timely manner 340B Training Board of Pharmacy CE's (as applicable) Other duties as assigned Strong analytical skills Finance knowledge Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form Ability to maintain confidentiality of information Ability to read, write legibly and calculate mathematical figures Ability to work and interact effectively and positively with other staff members to build and to enhance teamwork in the clinics and overall NVHC's organization Skill in accuracy and attention to detail Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment under stressful conditions. Skill in operating PC utilizing word processing, spreadsheets, databases, email. Ability to type minimum of 30 words per minute. Skill in operating various types of office equipment, such as calculator, printer/copier/fax, postage machine, and telephone system. Ability to communicate in a courteous and professional manner.
