Key Responsibilities: Design, evaluate, and implement short-term and long-term payroll policies and processes. Provide proactive leadership and guidance to resolve payroll issues. Direct local payroll staff and business unit teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing. Analyze complex transactions, identify issues, and implement plans for improvement. Establish strategic partnerships with internal departments and manage external vendor relationships. Provide thought leadership within HR Operations. Lead, coach, and develop a diverse team. Participate in audits and maintain open communications regarding payroll developments. Identify and mitigate potential payroll-related risks and implement controls. Ensure confidentiality and security of payroll data. Qualifications: 10+ years of management experience. 10+ years' experience with multistate payroll and large employee populations. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. Experience with Workday and/or PeopleSoft 9.1 or higher. Certified Payroll Professional or equivalent. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local wage and hour laws. Exceptional interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills. Proven history of successful leadership.
