Job Summary:James Chevrolet is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Parts Manager to join our team in Johnstown, New York. This is a full-time, management position in the fast-paced and dynamic automotive industry. The Parts Manager will oversee all aspects of the parts department, including inventory management, customer service, and sales. This position offers a competitive base salary plus commission, as well as a range of benefits such as health insurance and paid time off.Compensation & Benefits:Annual salary of $40,000 to $60,000, paid biweeklyCommission based on sales performanceComprehensive health insurance packagePaid vacation and sick days401(k) retirement planOngoing training and development opportunitiesResponsibilities:Manage all aspects of the parts department, including inventory control, sales, and customer serviceDevelop and implement strategies to increase parts sales and profitabilityMonitor and analyze inventory levels to ensure adequate stock and minimize wasteMaintain strong relationships with customers and proactively seek opportunities for repeat businessOversee the hiring, training, and management of parts department staffReview and negotiate pricing with vendors to ensure cost-effective purchasingMonitor and report on departmental financial performance to upper managementEnsure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as all federal, state, and local laws and regulationsContinuously seek ways to optimize processes and enhance the overall customer experience within the parts departmentRequirements:High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferredMinimum of 3 years experience in a parts management role, preferably in the automotive industryStrong knowledge of inventory management and profit and loss statementsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft Office and inventory management softwareAbility to lead and motivate a team to achieve goals and objectivesWillingness to work flexible hours and weekends as neededEEOC Statement:James Chevrolet is an equal opportunity employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
