Verizon Employee Discount)Red Wing Shoe Safety Footwear ProgramEssential Job Functions/Responsibilities:Delivers to and picks up parts and equipment from customers, satellite stores,wholesale accounts, vendors and service technicians.Coordinates pick-up and deliveries when needed from internal customers (partsmanager, body shop, wholesale representatives, inventory, parts counter people,shipping/receiving).Verifies that invoices match purchase orders and payments are received for eachpick-up when applicable.Keeps an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick-ups, ensuring to obtain customersignature on each delivery entry.Acts as liaison between parts sales and customer.Communicates specials and promotions to customers.Unloads truck each night.Basic truck maintenance (filling gas tank, checking oil, keeping it clean, ensuringrequired inspections are performed) and advises Parts Manager of any major repairsand/or maintenance neededAssists with inventory stocking and posting orders upon arrival to expedite delivery toshop technicians and wholesale accounts.Crates all cores for shipment back to the manufacturer when part has been replaced.Effectively pick, package and ship products to customers and suppliers according tocompany process and standards.Inspect, check-in and stock shelves with incoming parts.Compare parts received against packing lists to verify accuracy of shipmentsreceived.Move heavy items with the help of forklifts, pallet jacks and wheel trucksNegotiate shipping rates with freight companies and couriers.Inspects forklifts daily and schedules maintenance and repairs.Key Attributes/Skills/Characteristics:Effective communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skillsReliable/dependableCustomer service focused and skilledBasic computer skillsAbility to read and interpret company and procedural documentsEffective problem solving skills and abilitiesSelf-management and time management skills (ability to accomplish goals independently)Preferred Qualifications:* High school diploma or GEDADDITIONAL:Safe driving record requiredAbility to lift up to 100 lbs.Must pass DOT physical and drug screenMust have the ability to travel throughout assigned routeMust have flexible schedule (overtime is unpredictable and unavoidable)Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
