Job summary
As a parts coordinator, your duties are to maintain a stock of spare parts, manage backorders, and maintain vendor relationsYou make routine inspections of inventory and ensure that your department is able to fulfill other departments' workloadsWhen inventory is running low, you order the shipment of parts to make sure they are on hand
Job seniority: associate level
Responsibilities
• Maintain parts inventory for department 85 and 84• Keep track of parts location in parts warehouse• Keep parts and equipment records up to date in MP2• Order parts according to parts request approved by shop manager• Keep detailed records of part orders to assure correct parts• Process work orders into mp2 and keep work order records on file• Keep a spreadsheet of wash bay reports for department 84• Run reports for accounting to keep track of parts that are charged out to departments• Pick parts up when needed to make sure timelines are met• Make sure parts with cores get returned for core credit
Requirements
• Parts experience (automotive or heavy duty) preferred• Ability to work flexible schedules• 2 years of administrative experience• Proficient with Microsoft office tools, including Microsoft word and excel• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment• Self-motivated, great attention to details, and a fast learner
