Part-Time Network Engineer

**This is a PART-TIME ONSITE 1099 contract role payable at $27 per hour** Network Engineer - part-time night shift We are looking for a Network Engineer to provide smart hands and eyes support to implement, maintain, troubleshoot, and support all aspects of the network infrastructure on our customer's site.
Duties/Responsibilities Monitor and maintain the existing network including replacing failed hardware as needed. Configure and install replacement hardware using a template (mostly Cisco switches). Monitor, update, and resolve daily tickets in a customer ticketing system (Service Now). Perform moves, adds, and changes. Assist project team with the completion of various ongoing project tasks. Performing Hands and Feet support for the Remote Network Management team. Education & Experience Good knowledge of IT and IT operations. Experience in installing and removing network devices. Certification in A+, Network +, CCT would be beneficial. Experience with ticketing systems, particularly Service Now. Legally eligible to work in the United States. Experience working in a manufacturing / automotive would be advantageous, but not mandatory. Skills & Competencies Works under general supervision both independently and as part of a team. Proven ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines. Routine administrative skills. Able to meet the physical requirements of the usual and customary methods of performing the job functions, including a variety of standing, sitting, and walking throughout the day; lifting up to 50 pounds. Shift: FRI: 10PM-10AM – 12 hours per week Pay: $27 per hour
Possibility of occasional travel between two campuses approximately 15 minutes apart.
