JOB DESCRIPTION Position Title: Overnight Manager on Duty
Location: Aspen, CO
Department: Front Office
FLSA Status: Salaried Exempt-Status
Pay Scale: $60,000-$68,000 annually
Reports To: Director of Rooms

Role Summary Join our team as an Overnight Manager on Duty for Hotel Jerome, serving the needs of the business, our guests, and our colleagues by providing managerial support for Front Desk, Guest Services and other departments in the daily operational duties for these areas during the overnight shift.
Core Responsibilities Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done! Within the Auberge family, our people always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their teammates. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:
Ensure the current day's revenue balances are reconciled, payments to the guest ledger are processed, & the accounts receivables are balanced. 
Complete the overnight audit process on the front office system per established system guidelines. 
Balance & verify the summary of daily transactions in the hotel and ensure that the hotel's computer systems are readied for the next day's business. 
Balance all Front Office Postings and settlements. 
Organize the audit pack and ensure its accuracy. 
Assist in the training of any new overnight positions. 
Supports training of staff on adherence to all credit policies and procedures to reduce bad debts and rebates.
Assist the Front Office Manager in all aspects of the department and ensure service standards are followed.
Identify, reconcile, and communicate all Promotions to accurate revenue centers.
Roll all Expected Arrivals & post No shows to next day according to Jerome billing standards
Complete system back-ups as required
Oversee the Front Desk Agent's Daily Cashiering and maintain Front Desk bank at standard amount.
Review Daily Petty Cash Forms/paid outs to ensure proper usage, gift cards usage 
Ensure proper handling of House accounts & PMs, roll over dates and extensions
Ensure proper closing of the accounts by the month end & year end. 
Review arrivals in advance daily to be familiar with VIP guests, special requirements and potential problems.
Maintain and comply with all hotel and departmental policies, procedures and standards.
Ensure to run Newspaper reports daily & coordinate with Bell Services to ensure timely delivery.
Review all Folio for arrival and departure including adjustments to ensure are performed according to Jerome accounting standards 
Negotiate compromise or adjust bills to compensate for issues.
Identify and resolve all Non-zero (open folio) guest accounts nightly. Follow up with appropriate departments.
Make reservations outside of hours, perform walk -ins, perform up sells whenever possible
Handle guest complaints or problems immediately, ensuring guest satisfaction. Communicate all of the above to management to ensure communication to all necessary departments with specific reporting forms.
Promote positive relations with guests and between hotel departments
Ensure completion of all other duties as assigned/delegated by management.
Provides services that are above and beyond for customer satisfaction and retention.
Improves service by communicating and assisting individuals to understand guest needs, providing guidance, feedback, and individual coaching when needed.
Sets a positive example for guest & employee relations 
Supporting Projects and Policies
Supports implementation of customer recognition/service programs, communicating and ensuring the process in particular MOD program or any other FO elated project
Skills and Abilities Strong Mathematical & Financial skills
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Programs including but not limited to Excel, Outlook, & Word
Extensive written and verbal communication skills
Extensive multi-tasking, problem solving, and follow through skills
Highly organized, results-oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure
Required Qualifications Minimum of 1 year previous proven supervisory experience
Guest Services experience required, 4-5 Star resort experience preferred.
Previous Front Office, Night Audit, or Accounting Experience Required
Physical Demands Must have the ability to move/maneuver in an (add department) environment.
