ROLE: OVERNIGHT HOUSEPERSON/SECURITY - The Springhill Suites Chicago - Chinatown Job Summary: SpringHill Suites Chicago Chinatown is seeking a dedicated and responsible Overnight Houseperson/Security to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a reliable individual who can maintain the cleanliness and safety of the hotel during the overnight shift. This position combines housekeeping duties with security responsibilities to ensure a pleasant and secure environment for our guests.

Key Responsibilities: Houseperson Duties: Perform routine cleaning tasks in public areas, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and meeting spaces. Assist with the setup and breakdown of meeting rooms and event spaces. Respond to guest requests for additional supplies such as towels, toiletries, and linens. Ensure all common areas are clean, organized, and well-maintained. Conduct routine inspections of assigned areas to ensure cleanliness and proper functioning of facilities. Security Duties: Monitor hotel premises to ensure the safety and security of guests, staff, and property. Conduct regular patrols of the interior and exterior of the hotel. Respond promptly to security-related incidents and emergencies, following established protocols. Report and document any suspicious activity, safety hazards, or security breaches. Assist in enforcing hotel policies, including noise control and guest conduct. Additional Responsibilities: Collaborate with the front desk, maintenance, and management teams to address any guest concerns or maintenance issues. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor, providing exceptional guest service. Perform any other duties as assigned by management to ensure the smooth operation of the hotel. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in housekeeping, security, or a related field is required. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently. Excellent communication and guest service skills. Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively. Basic knowledge of safety and security procedures. Must be able to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and patrol the premises for extended periods.
