Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking an Operations Area Manager for IPO - Facilities Maintenance NB.This position is responsible for coordinating and supervising the maintenance, repair, and changes to an assigned area of the physical facilities.The manager is also responsible for setting standards of behavior and ensuring open communication with customers.

Responsibilities
• Coordinate and supervise maintenance operations within a designated facilities zone• Ensure workforce is properly deployed for planned, preventive, and emergency work• Supervise multiple crafts personnel and provide leadership in a total quality environment• Prioritize routine repair work requested by internal and external customers• Meet with customers regularly to ensure open communication and determine needs• Evaluate and respond to emergency trouble calls• Develop contingency plans for abnormal situations
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience• Minimum of 5 years of industrial experience in building systems, electrical and mechanical operation and repair• Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience
