Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine is seeking an On-Call Radiologic Technologist. Prepares and properly positions patients in order to obtain radiographic results according to physician specifications.
Prepares and properly positions patient to obtain desired radiographic results according to physician specifications. Calculates and selects proper technical factors such as voltage, current, exposure time, and focal distance based on patient information. Organizes and maintains patient files. Monitors and orders department supplies. Availability to work occasional overtime on weekends or evenings to complete time sensitive projects. Acquires knowledge for new technology and policy/procedure revisions. All other duties as assigned. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Minimum one-year experience as a radiology technologist. Knowledge of diagnostic radiology principles and procedures as well as operation and maintenance of radiologic equipment. LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, CERTIFICATIONS:
A.R.R.T. registry. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Able to perform duties independently, with a minimal need for direct supervision. The W.E. Upjohn M.D. Campus located in downtown Kalamazoo serves as the primary educational facility with faculty and administrative offices, student study and social spaces, team-based learning halls, a state-of-the-art Simulation Center accredited by the Society for Simulation in Healthcare, basic science research labs, as well as toxicology and forensic pathology labs.
