Job summary
The Housing & Logistics Coordinator leads efforts to secure and coordinate safe, sanitary, and affordable housing for ORR Initial Resettlement Services (OIRS) clients.They also lead the procurement and distribution of furnishings and supplies to new arrivals, schedule client transportation, and coordinate interpretation services.The coordinator collaborates with coworkers and partner organizations to support a positive resettlement experience.

Responsibilities
• Identify and secure safe, sanitary, and affordable housing for newly arriving clients.• Establish partnerships with property owners and managers to increase access to housing for clients.• Coordinate logistics of housing set-ups, including furniture and supplies.• Manage a team of support staff, volunteers, and interns.• Coordinate logistical activities related to case management services.• Satisfy recordkeeping requirements.• Make recommendations for continuous improvement.• Use personal vehicle or public transportation for travel and client transportation.• Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.• Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience required.• Experience working with refugee and/or immigrant populations preferred.• Prior supervisory experience preferred.• Strong relationship building and networking skills.• Ability to manage complex logistics within a limited timeframe.• Ability to promote an organizational culture that reflects IRC's core values.• Proven success in a multi-cultural environment.• Self-starter with excellent problem-solving and time management skills.• Superb organization, planning, and logistical skills.• Attention to detail and accuracy in work product.• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.• Valid driver's license and access to a personal, insured vehicle.
