Responsibilities
• Develop and execute laboratory work plans independently• Authors technical documents and reviews for compliance• Trains, coaches, and mentors others• Responsible as Project Director• Executes efficiency improvement projects• Identify and recommend business opportunities• Maintain high quality laboratory documentation• Address work issues at individual and team level• Propose deviations from established procedures• Lead by example and assess training needs
Requirements
• Doctoral, Masters, Bachelors or Associates degree in chemistry or related field• Several years of related experience• Ability to learn and retain technical information• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Supervisory skills are expected for scientists with direct reports• Ability to organize and manage teams• Recognize unmet customer needs• Effective time management and efficiency• May require the use of a respirator• Specific vision requirements
