We make it a priority to support the aspirations of every individual, with international opportunities, ongoing training and development, and first-class benefits.Williams Operating Corporation - Barrick Gold located near Marathon in Northwestern Ontario presently requires a:Metallurgical Technician/Spare RefinerResponsibilities:Physically perform job requirements in the Process Plant, Refinery and Tailings work environments Assist in refinery pours and provide relief coverage as a backup refiner Coordinate with purchasing to procure reagents for mill, paste plant and ETP Maintain Met Lab reagents and supplies and update SOPs as required Coordinate sampling and shipping of mill fine carbon. Complete process monitoring and lab/plant testing, data entry, analysis and reporting. Conduct weekly gold inventory sampling for the mill. Responsible for upkeep of mill cyanide measuring instruments. Support metallurgy team with laboratory tests and data collection. Qualifications:Must have minimum 2 years of process operator experience Must have the following Process Modules: Overhead Crane, Operate Forklift, Lifting Mechanisms, Slinging & Rigging and Reagent Handling Proven safe work record required Knowledgeable in WHMIS and MSDS Knowledgeable in site and department operating procedure Proven leadership skills Computer skills are considered an asset Capability to multi-task, self-manage and self-motivate Ability to physically perform job requirements in the mill operations environment including walking, climbing stairs, sampling and heavy lifting What We Can Offer YouA comprehensive compensation package including competitive bonuses, benefits, pension, and company match share purchase plan.
