Round Mountain is an open-pit mine located in Nevada, one of the best mining jurisdictions in the world. The mine uses conventional open-pit mining methods and processes ore by mill and heap leach. Round Mountain and the nearby Bald Mountain mine make up Kinross' Nevada operations. 
The Round Mountain mine is an important contributor to the Nye County economy and, working with local stakeholders, has helped achieve significant improvements in healthcare and education in the area.
Job Description Under the direction of the Clinic Supervisor, the incumbent will serve as the first contact between the patient and the clinic.  The incumbent arranges appointments, answers phones, and answers basic questions from patients, as well as performing basic health care related duties and occupational health duties within a Medical Assistant's Scope of Practice.  Assists the clinic team with daily office operations while continuously aligning daily functions to reflect Kinross' values.
Job Responsibilities 1.    Accurately schedule appointments, maintain patient records and filing.
2.    Answers phone in courteous manner.
3.    Behavior appropriate for professional Corporate Medical Clinic.
4.    Exhibits a positive attitude.
5.    Check-in patients and schedule follow up appointments.
6.    Accurately sets-up procedures and referrals with other facilities.
7.    Order and maintain supplies and equipment for office and clinic.
8.    Be an instrumental member of the clinic team.
9.    Answer patient questions under council from the medical provider. 
10.    Maintain the confidentiality of patient information per HIPAA
11.    Helps develop other department personnel to perform duties listed above.
12.    Compliance with all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to safety, environmental, confidentiality and code of conduct. 
13.    Meets or exceeds established performance expectations set by management.
14.    Consistently exercises discretion and judgment in job performance.
15.    Works without harm to self and others. 
16.    Punctuality and scheduled attendance required.
17.    Performs other related functions as assigned by supervisor.
18.    Completes pre-employment occupational health testing included but not limited to: urine drug screens, spirometry testing, audiograms, and biological screenings. 
19.    Manages the respiratory protection program, ensuring current spirometry testing and respirator fit testing according to NIOSH standards.

Education and Experience 1.    Effectively perform basic clerical duties such as typing, answering phones, and filing.
2.    Be willing to learn basic laboratory testing.
3.    Have basic medical knowledge, and the ability to learn basic medical practices and functions.
4.    Prefer JDE knowledge and experience.
5.    Be willing to obtain credentialed certification as a Medical Assistant
6.    Attainment of certifications in CAOCH and NIOSH Spirometry is required.
7.    Attainment of certification in drug and alcohol collection is required.
8.    Attainment of BLS is required 
9.    Possess effective time management skills
10.    Knowledge of medical terminology for CPT and ICD-10 coding.
11.    Ability to remain resourceful and calm in emergencies.
12.    Maintain a professional approach with confidentiality as a priority.
13.    Keep personal safety and the safety of others as the highest priority.
14.    Follow and support clinic protocols as related to policies and procedures.
15.    Clerical office experience level II required.
16.    Possesses good communication and interpersonal skills. 
17.    General understanding of mining operations, as well as limited understanding of milling and maintenance operations.
18.    Working knowledge and skill with P.C. utilizing word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software including Microsoft Office. 
19.    Strong verbal, written, analytical and persuasive skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management.
20.    Ability to work independently and as a member of the management team. 
21.    Demonstrates strong administrative, organizational and technical writing skills.
22.    Must be 18 years old and presently authorized to work in the United States on a full time basis. 
23.    Requires valid driver's license.
