Salary Range: $75K - $160K

A+S is seeking mechanical engineers and designers with hands-on design experience who can hit the ground running designing multiple concurrent projects and can also serve as a technical reference for less experienced colleagues. Responsibilities and salary will vary depending on experience.
Depending on project experience, the mechanical engineer/designer will work independently or as part of a team on multiple concurrent projects, both in design and construction, and be responsible for the preparation of contract documents and specifications for different types of building systems. This encompasses calculations, systems analysis, quality control of finished projects, and field/construction activities.
Responsibilities Perform full design of HVAC systems, including equipment selection, for small to large commercial projects across several sectors. Analyze system options and evaluate existing systems where appropriate. Coordinate all aspects of project document completion within A+S and externally with clients. Complete full design in accordance with code, using AutoCAD & Revit depending on preference of architect. Write specifications. Provide bid and construction phase services including reviewing bids, answering RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, participating in project walk-throughs, and providing field observation reports. Be proficient in a variety of HVAC systems and be a technical expert and resource to the office.
