Material Purchasing Manager

Material Purchasing Manager Location Evansville, IN : Description: MelKay is a locally owned and operated electrical, mechanical and plumbing contractor seeking a Material Purchasing Manager.
Candidate must have familiarity with common materials used in construction and excellent computer skills. Experience in construction material purchasing or sales a plus.
Responsibilities:
Develop proficiency in material purchasing software platform Receive material orders from Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing field personnel and Project Managers Ensure all orders are complete and properly understood and communicated Issue RFQs as needed with all material suppliers Use purchasing software to create purchase orders in Viewpoint Spectrum (ERP/Accounting) that are properly formed and posted to job and promptly submitted to suppliers Oversee the timeliness of material order fulfillment (backorders, etc.) Work with Accounts Payable to ensure proper invoicing and job costing Benefits include:
