Mason - Concrete Block Mason

Key Responsibilities:
Currently, Aescit is seeking a Mason with expertise working with concrete block / cinder block.
The position provides for 60 hours per week, and 7 days of week per diem, and has an immediate start date. Key responsibilities and capabilities of the position are listed below.  Read blueprints or drawings to calculate materials needed Lay out patterns, forms, or foundations according to plans Break or cut materials to required size Mix mortar or grout and spread it onto a slab or foundation Clean excess mortar with trowels and other hand tools Construct corners with a corner pole or by building a corner pyramid Align structures vertically and horizontally, using levels and plumbs Clean and polish surfaces with hand or power tools Fill expansion joints with the appropriate caulking materials Key Characteristics:
Is personable with strong professional communications skills. Self-motivated and takes time to ensure accuracy of data being managed.  Detail focus and patience to triple check all reports, payrolls, invoices before submittals. Self-Started who is able to proactively manage tasks and knows when to manage a developing situation or make an error correction. Proficiency and analytical skills to solve dynamic and changing challenges. Communication skills to articulate complicated issues and willingness to maintain a positive attitude with staff and associated personnel. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Self-motivated and self-directed with ability to proactively handle new tasks. Additional Information :  Minimum 2 years relevant experience.
