Full job description Seize the opportunity to become an Assistant Manager at our esteemed Costume Photography Studio nestled in the enchanting heart of Salem. As a pivotal figure in our day-to-day operations, you'll play an integral role in our high-performing and quality-focused studio, actively contributing to the creation of captivating photography experiences for our customers year-round. Witch Pix, celebrated for its premium costumes and commitment to 5-star photography, is situated against the historic backdrop of the 1692 Witch Trials and the October Haunted Happenings. Responsibilities :
Operations & Customer Engagement: · Oversee daily studio operations, ensuring meticulous cash register reconciliations, scheduling, staffing, and handling administrative duties with a peer assistant manager.
· Maintain a seamless and enchanting customer experience from booking to the final photo delivery, upholding a 5-star standard.
· Supervise front of the house customer experiences focused on Customer conversion, Retail sales and Costume Dressing.
· Immerse customers in the enchanting world of Witch Pix, fostering a sense of creativity, self-expression, and confidence during the costume selection process.
· Address customer inquiries, feedback, and concerns promptly and professionally.
· Leverage your customer/marketing experience to drive social media enthusiasm
Team Leadership: Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that embodies the magical and creative spirit of the studio. Be a driving force on the leadership team with peer assistant manager and business owner. Lead and develop a high-energy team, overseeing hiring and onboarding training to ensure everyone contributes to the studio's success. Social Media and Marketing Create engaging content for social media platforms—text captions, videos, and images—suitable for the various social media platforms. 8 high-quality product or client videos created per month, more as needed. 7-10 high-quality product images taken and edited per week, more as needed. Incorporate brand voice and identity in digital & print content. Establish and collaborate a social media content calendar with owner. Engage and respond to consumer base in a timely and consistent manner. Increase engagement across all social media platforms. Build relationaships and database of influencers & social groups for tourists. Recognize and report on the impacts of digital marketing on advance sales. Technical Proficiency and Troubleshooting: Ability to work with creative tools like Canva and Adobe products Knowledge of cash register applicaitons, sales & scheduling software, website design Demonstrate advanced technical proficiency, including the ability to troubleshoot issues promptly and effectively for LAN, photo printers, internet access and a wide range of web based business applications. Keen knowledge of social media trends, hashtags, and engagement strategy Qualifications: Proven experience in retail, hospitality, or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years in marketing communications/social media role. Ability to take initiative, strong organizational and multitasking skills, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with customers and team members. Creative mindset and an appreciation for tourism and artistic photography. Enthusiasm for Photography, Halloween and Salem's tourism industry. Experience with seasonal tourism or Old Time Photo studios preferred, but not required. Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field is preferred, but not required. Work Schedule :
Year-round position with seasonal variations. Expect weekends, holidays, longer hours in October, and lighter schedules during the winter months.
Compensation :
Hourly compensation ranging from $21 to $25, with variations based on experience. Bonus opportunities tied to sales goals are included.
