Description The Manager of Learning Solutions will lead the development, implementation, and facilitation trainings and learning opportunities for staff and program participants, including families and volunteers. This role will also contribute to content creation and delivery related to Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) as well as other core learning priorities for the agency, including youth safety, youth development, and programs standards. This role is directly tied to enhancing program effectiveness and supporting the agency reach program goals, aligned with the evolving needs of our constituents.
We are seeking a dynamic, engaging, cross-functional, and strategic leader with experience in JEDI, training and development, fostering and sustaining a culture of learning, humility, and growth across the organization.
This position will sit on the People & Culture team and be a key liaison for programs learning and development needs across staff, volunteers, and parenting adults. Job Details Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Hybrid with in 3 day-per-week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) office requirement in Minneapolis, MN
Hiring Salary Range: $58,000-$64,000 Starting salary will depend on your skills and demonstrated readiness for the role.
Hours/Day: Monday-Friday, 40+ hours a week – including evenings, and weekends when necessary. (Most work falls roughly between the hours of 9:00AM-4:00PM)

Supervisor: Vice President of People & Impact Candidate Profile Education The Manager of Learning Solutions is a newly created position at BBBSTC. The manager will create, curate, and deliver educational resources, materials, training, and infrastructure that are aligned with the organizational values and strategic priorities, including our commitment to Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) for the benefit of an engaged and diverse family, volunteer and employee population. Some key priorities for this position include: Identify learning paths for new volunteers and parenting adults who are entering our program via the agency's learning management system. Identify learning entry points, self assessments, self reflection resources, and learning spaces for existing volunteers and parenting adults already in our program. Support in the launch of a new programmatic framework, including contributing to strategic organizational development and co-developing training plans and supports. Develop and facilitate curriculum across a wide variety of disciplines, including JEDI youth safety, program standards, youth development, and trauma informed care. Audit and refine the onboarding process for staff, board, volunteer, and parenting adults. Proven influencing and relationship building skills with internal and external partners and people from various backgrounds and cultures Essential Job Functions Learning Content Design and Delivery Lead the development, implementation, and facilitation of learning and development programs for staff, program participants (including families and volunteers), ensuring alignment with organizational values and strategic priorities. Contribute to content creation and delivery related to Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI), as well as other core learning priorities such as youth safety, youth development, and program standards. Work with leaders to audit and refine the orientation and onboarding process for staff, board members, volunteers, and parenting adults to ensure effectiveness and alignment with organizational goals. Collaborate with the Vice President of Programs and the Vice President of People & Impact to create an annual learning plan for Programs staff. Deliver learning experiences and resources to staff, board, and program participants in a variety of learning environments, including in-person, virtual, and asynchronous. Foster a culture of inclusivity and continuous learning, ensuring that content and delivery methods are accessible and relevant to individuals from diverse backgrounds and identities. Collaboration And Program Management Serve as a key liaison for programs learning and development needs, fostering a culture of learning, humility, and growth across the organization. Collaborate with the People & Culture team and leaders to assess learning and development needs of staff, including leadership development, orientation and onboarding. Collaborate with external partners, consultants, and subject matter experts to develop specialized training programs and resources tailored to the unique needs of program participants and staff. Lead train-the-trainer sessions to build internal capacity for delivering learning content and facilitating discussions. Manage internal and external communications regarding training and development opportunities. Evaluation And Continuous Improvement Conduct regular assessments and evaluations of learning programs to measure effectiveness, gather feedback, and identify areas for improvement. Solicit participant feedback, track and report analytics for continual improvement, and ensure scalable and accessible programs. Stay current on emerging trends, research, and best practices in learning and development, incorporating new methodologies and technologies to enhance learning outcomes. Translate strategies into tactical plans with clear actions, accountability, and goals to promote intentional JEDI practices. Apply project management skills and tools to drive learning design projects from initiation to delivery, including proactively monitoring and mitigating risk to prevent timeline and scope creep. Administrative and Logistics Management Serve as an administrator for BBBS' learning management system for staff, board, and program participants, The Learning Exchange, managing training assignments, completion and reminders Prepare and implement training budget; ensure that training milestones and goals are met while adhering to approved training budget Research, cultivate, and maintain learning resources and online solutions to ensure they are current, accurate and effective. Work with the People & Culture team to coordinate logistics for training events, including scheduling, venue selection, participant registration, and materials preparation. Serve as a resource for resolving training-related issues and inquiries, providing timely support and guidance to staff and volunteers. Contribute to the mission and success of the agency Adopt strengths-based perspectives when discussing specific groups or contexts, particularly those historically marginalized. Handle data from youth, families, mentors, or other constituents with care, ensuring secure and private maintenance. Stay informed about community needs, resources, and networks. Collaborate with others to achieve goals outlined in the annual business plan. Honor and respect the diversity of lived experiences, fostering an inclusive and equitable environment within the organization. Represent BBBS well in the broader community. Assist in agency-wide events and initiatives including recruitment, fundraising, event management, and community outreach. Bachelor's degree in Learning & Development or Organizational Development, or similar, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Three or more years' experience in learning and development or similar degree, certification, or advanced training in adult education or adult learning. At least 4 years of experience in diversity, equity and inclusion leadership, training, organizational development, coaching, or adult learning. Demonstrated competency in applying a racial equity lens to learning solutions. Strong JEDI subject-matter expertise, including research, trends, data, and leading practices. Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity while working independently to complete projects, and effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior-level leadership. Demonstrated abilities in group facilitation, problem-solving, critical reasoning, and consensus building Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods. Knowledge of current adult learning concepts, techniques, frameworks, methodologies and tools. Experience coaching and working with diverse employees, both in group and individual settings. Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Strong background in developing, implementing, and facilitating learning and development programs, particularly in the areas of justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion (JEDI). Experience in managing complex projects from initiation to delivery, including setting clear goals, timelines, and budgets, and ensuring adherence to them. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, external partners, and stakeholders to assess needs, develop content, and coordinate logistics. Proficiency in curriculum design, instructional design methodologies, and delivery techniques across various learning environments, including in-person, virtual, and asynchronous. Demonstrated skill in convening constituents and moving them towards the identification of learning solutions. Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship building skills in a collaborative and influential manner that establishes trust and inspires others. Strong presentation and public speaking skills. Superior verbal and written communication skills, including editing, with ability to synthesize, translate, and present information into poignant and digestible learning interventions. Demonstrated exceptional coaching and/or facilitation skills to create an inclusive environment where everyone is welcomed, valued, and everyone can be their best. Ability to work with flexibility, efficiency, and enthusiasm, both individually and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-demand environment with professionalism, personal integrity and dependability. Demonstrated strategic thought leader with the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas and unique concepts. In-depth expertise in various identities and JEDI topics such as racial and gender identities, LGBTQ+, disability inclusion, neurodivergence, mental health topics, among others. Expertise on these topics intersecting with food insecurity is a plus . Demonstrated ability to assess needs, collaborate and deliver practical solutions with excellent follow-through that drives results. IDI Qualified Administrators, and other DEI, coaching, and learning and development certifications desired. Physical Requirements This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines and filing cabinets. This role must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. About BBBSTC Big Brothers Big Sisters Twin Cities is the largest and oldest youth mentoring organization in the greater Twin Cities serving Hennepin, Ramsey, Anoka and parts of Dakota and Washington counties. Each year, we match up to 2,600 youth (Littles) and their families with caring adults (Bigs) who volunteer as youth mentors.
