We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Maitre'd to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in maintaining our high standards of service and guest satisfaction.
Job Description: As the Maitre'd, you will be the face of our restaurant, providing a warm welcome to guests and ensuring their needs are met from the moment they arrive until they depart. This position requires a combination of hospitality expertise, leadership skills, and operational knowledge, particularly in managing reservations and dining room activities.
Key Responsibilities: Greet and escort guests to their tables, managing wait times and ensuring a smooth flow of service. Utilize reservation management systems such as OpenTable to optimize seating arrangements and handle special requests. Supervise, train, and manage front-of-house staff, ensuring adherence to service standards and protocols. Coordinate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction. Handle guest complaints with professionalism and resolve issues to maintain high customer satisfaction. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the dining area and entryway. Managerial Duties: Lead team meetings to discuss service goals, upcoming events, and operational improvements. Open &/or Close Restaurant Physical Demands: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Capable of carrying and lifting objects weighing up to 30 pounds. Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to changing priorities. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Maitre'd or similar role in a fine dining environment. Strong knowledge of reservation management systems, particularly OpenTable, and proficiency in using Toast POS systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
