Working with a variety of machinery throughout the facility, the Maintenance Technician will help ensure quality performance of the machines and integrity of the building and grounds.
Maintenance Technician Role: To maintain quality performance of machines and equipment as well as the integrity of the building and grounds while contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
Maintenance Technician Responsibilities: Perform preventative maintenance tasks - encompassing oiling, and greasing of equipment. Additionally, clean equipment and surrounding area of excess lubricants, oil and debris on the floor
Troubleshoot and repair of steel processing equipment
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Write routine reports. And communicate effectively with team members
Open the building for startup of the facility for the weeks production, and shut down equipment and secure the facility for the weekend
Some mandatory overtime
Maintenance Technician Reporting Relationships: Will report to the maintenance supervisor About You: High-school GED or equivalent minimum. Some college and/or certifications preferred
Previous maintenance experience preferred
Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Mechanically inclined
Experience with welding, electrical, hydraulics, plumbing, or carpentry would be a plus but not required
MUST HAVE a valid driver's license
