What you'll do: Respond to customer service maintenance requests according to Farm Bureau policy in a prompt, efficient and courteous manner. Monitors, inspects, operates, and maintains the facility building automation system, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, water treatment, and life safety systems. Coordinates project requirements and work of outside contractors. Maintains detailed records of repairs and preventative maintenance activities. Conducts emergency repairs and maintenance, minimizing interruptions of facility use. Assists with other physical plant maintenance duties as necessary, including but not limited to, workstation reconfigures, process recyclable building materials, snow removal, and grounds care. Maintains documentation relating to the corporate hazardous material program ensuring both personal and corporate protection. What it takes to join our team: • High school diploma or equivalent required plus three years relevant experience required.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid driver's license.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical operating systems.
• Utilize various tools, machines, and equipment.
• Requires lifting (75lbs), climbing, grasping, kneeling, and crawling.
• Ability to work from a ladder or lift.
• Ability to access small areas.
• On-call responsibility 24 hours a day.
• Works with various hazardous chemicals and could be exposed to blood-borne pathogens.
• Oral and written communication skills as appropriate to this position.
• Ability to read, write and speak the English language.
• Reasonably regular and predictable attendance.
