Position Summary The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), carpentry, painting, and other building systems. Select Industries is looking for a competent Maintenance Supervisor to manage maintenance in our facilities. You will be responsible for hiring, training staff, and ensure Select facilities are in safe, running, and good operations for production. You will be supporting our operations team. Essential Job Functions Supervises staff that performs maintenance service and repairs to complex electrical and mechanical production equipment and systems. Implements standard procedures to monitor equipment for performance, safety, and effectiveness. C Coordinated resources for troubleshooting equipment repairs. Trains, coaches, and educates workers in best practices and safety procedures. Monitors work orders to ensure accuracy and quality. Inspect and monitor work areas, examine tools and equipment, and provide employee safety training to prevent, detect, and correct unsafe conditions or violations of procedures and safety rules. Collaborate with other workers to repair or move machines, machine parts, or equipment. Repair or maintain the operating condition of industrial production or processing machinery or equipment. Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments, according to production specifications. Perform skilled repair or maintenance operations, using equipment such as hand or power tools, hydraulic presses or shears, or welding equipment. Monitor tool and part inventories and the condition and maintenance of shops to ensure adequate working conditions. Compute estimates and actual costs of factors such as materials, labor, or outside contractors. Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities, based on work priority, quantity of equipment, and skill of personnel. Operate newly repaired machinery or equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs. Ability to collaborate and effectively work cross departments. Supervisory Responsibilities :
Directly supervises all associates within the Maintenance department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 5 (five) years or maintenance experience in building and machine maintenance. Associated degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or similar field a plus; bachelor's degree in business administration is highly desired. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, rations, and proportions to practical situations. Computer experience to include Microsoft Outlook, PLEX UX (ERP), Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Excel Good communication skills. Knowledge in Programmable logic controller PLC software Thinking outside the box to find solutions. Strong integrity and persistence to get the job completed correctly. 3+ years supervisory experience. Ability to collaborate and effectively work with different departments. Have integrity dependability, attention to detail, and cooperation. Must conform to current environmental standards. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and feet to stand, walk, or climb. Incumbent will be required to maneuver in space restricted areas (repairing machining in confined areas). Job responsibilities demand exposure to the production floor and to chemicals. Company lifting limitations will be enforced. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Incumbent may travel to direct repairs on company vehicles and/or machining, etc.
