Now Hiring a Maintenance Mechanic at our Mt. Top, PA location!
ROLE: Support in the form of installation, repair, and maintenance on all related equipment, buildings, and systems associated with the F/K manufacturing facility. Completes tasks independently; and as a team member.
REPORTS TO: Maintenance Manager
SHIFT/SCHEDULE: 10 Hour, 4:30am-6:30pm (A Shift)
Alternating 36 hour / 48 hour work weeks
Week 1: 36 hrs
Week 2: 48 hrs
Week 3: 36 hrs
Week 4: 48 hrs
PAY: $28.26/HR PLUS a $5000 sign-on bonus***
KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Diagnose and repair faulty production and related plant equipment with the minimum amount of supervision using the provided schematics, manuals, and drawings. Be able to diagnose and repair electro-mechanical problems, troubleshoot electrical problems, and have a strong understanding of preventative maintenance strategies
Identify faulty parts and provide proper nomenclature in the form of a requisition in order that spares or replacements can be ordered
Be knowledgeable of what and where spare parts are in the storerooms and to observe store rooms withdrawal and return procedure
General working knowledge of machine shop equipment
Must be team-oriented with leadership qualities and capable of leading co-workers in assigned tasks
Will be expected to maintain necessary records and established maintenance procedures
Maintain a clean, safe working environment
Responsible for additional specific duties related to each shift as assigned by maintenance supervisor
Other duties as necessary
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
Administrative: Demonstrates ability to accurately post data from one source to another in ERP or peripheral software systems.

Ability to create and/or exhibit an atmosphere of openness, honesty, trust, and teamwork
Ability to multi-task and prioritize as needed without loss of effectiveness and composure

Demonstrates ability to understand and actively participate in all company safety programs, policies and procedures

Ability to develop and maintain processes that are ISO compliant
Technical Knowledge:
Demonstrates an advanced comprehensive knowledge of entire process from concept to commercialization
Operate Equipment:
Ability to operate motorized equipment and other peripheral equipment safely and efficiently as required
Demonstrates ability to utilize standard hand tools
Ability to operate basic machine shop equipment
Maintenance/Repair:
Demonstrates advanced mechanical aptitude and abilities
Demonstrates thorough knowledge of production technological methods and procedures, and capabilities of machines and equipment in manufacturing facilities
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Three to five years of experience in a related field
Mechanical pretest to employment
High school diploma/equivalent required
Completion of a vocational or trade school curriculum from an authorized school with a concentration in electro-mechanical courses desired
Must be able to read and use precision type instruments such as micrometers and calipers
Speaking and presentation skills to conduct effective meetings

Must be able to:
Work a 8, 10 and/or 12-hour shift, standing and walking for extended periods
Climb
Heed safety warnings, devices, and alarms.
Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Lift and carry products weighing up to 50 lbs.
Possess an adequate ability to do problem solving and establish cause and effect relationships in an office and/or manufacturing environment
