Job Summary (Position Expectations) Supervises Woodland or contract facilities positions. You can also expect to be involved in the planning, oversite, and reporting of the Custodial and Facilities portion of the school budget. Responsible for the upkeep, cleaning, repair, and improvement of our building, facilities, and grounds. You will be expected to promote a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement in all areas under your responsibility. Duties and Responsibilities  The delegation and follow-up of responsibilities to other team members  Ensure that safety practices are followed  Assist in all work areas when and where needed  Perform energy management setup changes  Provide advisory assistance in regard to equipment and facility needs and conditions  Supervise and train the Custodial / Facilities Team for maximum productivity  Inspect school and grounds on a regular basis to ensure safe and excellent conditions for learning and building pride throughout our Team and Community  Maintain all equipment manuals, equipment warranties, and tool inventories  Review work orders to ensure proper documentation and obtain receipts to be submitted to Office Manager for all expenditures  Establish and evaluate the preventive maintenance program Direct employees in the use of safety equipment and procedures  Ensure adherence to excellent safety standards Model and promote high ethical standards in all you do  Maintain confidentiality regarding school/workplace matters  Meet and deal effectively with the general public, staff members, students, parents, administrators and other contact persons using tact and good judgment  Participate successfully in the training programs offered to increase skill and proficiency related to assignment Credentials and Experience  Associates degree in Facilities Management or Maintenance, or requisite experience preferred  High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) One to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience (basic cleaning, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC knowledge)  Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance Physical Demands/ Work Environment: The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold or heat  Ability to be flexible and be able to respond quickly and appropriately to changing situations  Work hours may vary to meet the needs of the schools, staff & students
