Machine Operator

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Structural Steel Robotic Layout Machine Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate should have the expertise in welding, robot programming, troubleshooting, structural steel operations, and robotic welding processes; as well as an in-depth knowledge of Zeman, Peddinghaus, AGT, Ocean, and Voortman. The Structural Steel Robotic Layout Machine Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the robotic welders.
Position Overview
The Structural Steel Robotic Layout Machine Operator will be responsible for operating the robotic welders according to the instructions provided by the supervisor. The operator will also be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting problems. The operator will be required to maintain a log of work completed and to adhere to all safety standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Setting up and operating robotic welding equipment
Programming the robot's motions and welding parameters
Maintaining and troubleshooting the robotic welding equipment
Monitoring the welds for accuracy and quality
Making adjustments to the robot's parameters to optimize the weld process
Maintaining welding logs and records
Adhering to all workplace safety regulations and procedures
Qualifications
Experience in welding certification, robot programming, welding, troubleshooting, and structural steel operations
Knowledge of Zeman, Peddinghaus, AGT, Ocean, and Voortman
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Solid understanding of welding principles and processes
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
