We are looking for a Logistics Analyst to work in our beautiful Livonia, MI, Headquarters!
Responsible for supporting the Director of Logistics by providing financial information, tools and analysis to support the evaluation of business opportunities and decisions support. Ensures adequate internal control processes. PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct monthly reporting, forecasting, accruals and annual budgeting for logistics department. Analyze financial performance and present findings to manager. Participate in implementing financial processes, controls, and enabling systems which will be critical to the future growth of the business. Adhere to all appropriate financial policies such as GAAP and SOX. Create and organize monthly spreadsheets and reports to support Logistics department KPIs. Create and run ad hoc reports to support Logistics and cross-functional departments. Assist and support annual budgeting, lease payments for fleet CAR process, and carrier negotiations. Ensure freight invoices and payment terms for both dedicated and 3PL providers are processed accurately. Ensure Freight Claim process for all of Operations is tracked and monitored accurately. Participate in the implementation of process improvement initiatives. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: Bachelor's degree in business, accounting or related field. 3 years financial analyst experience. Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Demonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively with cross-functional business teams. Demonstrated successful ability to organize and prioritize work to ensure timely deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with external customers. Ability to function at a high level of effectiveness, flexibility, independence and initiative without daily interaction with management. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: Transportation billing experience. Prior ERP experience (Oracle, SAP).
