Inventory Specialist Supervisor (VOHS) Job Description Requirements Excellent leadership, organization, written, communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with SAP inventory and shipping transactions Must have advanced proficiency in SAP. Manufacturing experience preferred. Note: This VOHS job will be primarily first shift Monday thru Friday with weekends required as necessary to fulfill other job functions.
Overview The Inventory specialist has the primary responsibility of maintaining accurate inventory records used to optimize manufacturing, warehousing, and business decisions that will promote company effectiveness and profitability. In addition to inventory, this position will be the back- up to the Distribution VOHS and have ownership of the guard house associates that monitor incoming shipments.
The high-level Duties and Responsibilities of the Inventory Specialist include:
Daily cycle counts on Broadloom, Rugs, Tile, LVT, Adhesive and Yarn Quarterly inventories Annual inventories Staffing The inventory and cycle count Locations include Live Oak, Maple, Dogwood and LaGrange Warehouse. Cycle counts and Audits are performed daily. Assisting on Quarterly in Areas such as APAD, 1201, 1101 and reinspect. Assist in reconciling inventory counts for 2410's outside vendors which include Floor production and Chemtech.
As movements are frozen for quarterly and annual Inventories, numerous supporting associates are recruited, trained, and managed by the inventory specialist in order to complete inventories in a reasonable time period.
The core duties and responsibilities of the inventory specialist include:
Daily Audit / Scans of the warehouse T O section Weekly Audit / Scan Live Oak floor locations Weekly Audit non-moving inventory in locations 70x.rdy, Tile. rdy, Tile. Plank, Tile. Echo, 111MDC, 111DGW and 111 LGW. Weekly Audit On all in transits materials coming to 2410/3008 Daily audit Restricted and Blocked stocks and resolve issues. Weekly Audit 916 bins Daily Audits other 900 bins. Identify and correct the problems and train manufacturing associates to prevent issues by verifying warehouse status after key transactions and balancing bins as appropriate. Daily adjust broadloom cut roll and remove rolls too short from the warehouse. Training and coaching on warehouse managed movements which includes clearing posting changes, finishing scrapping transactions, unconfirming confirmation, material put away movements, identifying and resolving confirmation errors and other miscellaneous issues. Daily reconcile ASRS by comparing ASRS computer inventory to SAP inventory - ASRS reconciliation report. Respond immediately to customer "Trouble Orders". This includes researching pallet ,rug and Broadloom roll history, investigating shortage of material and master data issues. The inventory specialist communicates with customer service and planning on the status and path forward. Assist with incoming material flow from outside warehousing and Vendors.) (Receiving in /issuing tickets) Track and update distribution performance charts Trains new associate on locating and floor layouts Back up expeditor when needed Other duties and responsibilities of the Inventory Specialist include: Work with the Distribution VOHS to ensure shifts are fully staffed and trained. initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures, including timecard management. Creates, revises, and implements systems and procedures by auditing and analyzing operating practices, daily team management systems, and personnel requirements. Special assignments from supervisor Yarn movements from location to location. Works with the QA team to provide feedback for errors related directly to distribution. Investigate roll corrections that are a potential error including pulling roll(s) from rack and verify ticket and product Contact QA with the possibility of a shipping or booking error Once the error has been identified. Assist planning with material adjustments for Box(ed) products, locating S& K, Un allocating and allocating Lakeshore, consuming TB Orders and area Audits and Inventory. Assist Master Data with Warehouse information and related issues Works with QA team on critical projects. This includes pulling material and verifying the SKU is correct. Support the reconciliation of return inventory from customer returns Assist with the sample process when needed.
