The Legal Office Support Clerk II performs a variety of clerical assignments in support of the Legal Team's business operations and exercises good judgment and decision making in day-to-day assignments as determined by established policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform standard clerical tasks, such as data entry, data reporting, and organizing and filing documents Prepare and send high volume of mailings, as well as sort and distribute high volume of incoming mail Handle outgoing and incoming calls, process incoming emails and voicemails Photocopy, scan and fax documents Perform additional duties as directed by Legal Department management QUALIFICATIONS At least two (2) years of administrative support experience, or equivalent experience in an office setting High school diploma or GED equivalent At least two (2) years of administrative support experience, or equivalent experience in an office setting Knowledge of standard office principles and procedures, including office email and telephone etiquette Intermediate skill in using general office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, etc. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office suite Salesforce and Microsoft OneDrive experience, preferred Effective communication skills, both verbal and in written Highly organized, ability to follow multi-step instructions, with a keen attention to detail Must be a mission-driven individual with high personal integrity and a strong sense of public service to the residents of the City of Detroit Ability to work well alone or as a member of a team in a fast-paced and demanding environment Detroit residency, preferred ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Ability to select and compile data for correspondence and reports Ability to maintain supplies for work area Ability to organize and coordinate the work of the department Ability to determine work priorities and review work for quality assurance Ability to assist others in solving work problems BENEFITS & PERKS Paid Holidays, Sick Days & CTO Health Benefit: Medical/Blue Cross Blue Shield, vision, dental, EAP and short-term disability Free Parking Complimentary Beverages (water, tea, coffee etc.) Retirement Savings Plan (457-B) Certification reimbursement/ License renewal reimbursement **AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER**
