Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to develop effective defense strategies tailored to each client's unique circumstances.
- Represent clients in administrative proceedings, mediations, arbitrations, and litigation, advocating for their rights and interests.
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, including contracts, settlement agreements, and employment policies, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and protecting clients' legal rights.
- Conduct internal investigations in response to employee complaints, guiding clients through the resolution process and implementing proactive measures to mitigate future risks.
Qualifications:
- Admission to the Oregon state bar and in good standing.
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience practicing labor and employment law, with a proven focus on defense representation.
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local labor and employment laws, regulations, and precedents.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully defending clients in labor and employment litigation, with notable achievements and favorable outcomes.
- Portable book of business highly preferred.
