Description: This Lab/Engineering Technician will provide hand on support to MPE-Materials Process Engineering team to facilitate & help support engineers in a large development group in several areas. Responsibilities: Examples of work scope would be metallography Running equipment and tests Operating microscopes, scanning electron microscopes Documenting work done in MS word or PowerPoint reports. CAD skills are important as the MPE group evaluates what materials will be selected in the design of engine parts. The job is a mixture of 60% testing in a lab, analyzing samples, and 40% documentation in Excel. Fabricate polymer composites and adhesively bonded test samples Perform lab tests and organize and communicate test data and results. Requirements: Associates Degree Internship or 6 months plus experience in manufacturing or lab environment Familiarity with polymer composites, adhesives and elastomers is preferred.
