Responsibilities: Perform detailed cleaning and sanitization of surfaces including floors, walls, ceilings, and equipment. Collaborate with Food Services staff to uphold federal, state, local, and hospital sanitation protocols. Work on assigned cleaning projects and assist in maintaining adequate inventory levels of equipment. Implement hand hygiene, safety, and sanitation procedures according to hospital guidelines. Assist with tray retrieval and delivery as per departmental policies. Participate in the orientation and training of new team members. Other duties as assigned to support team objectives. Previous experience in dish room operations, preferably in a restaurant or hotel setting. Familiarity with food and restaurant regulations is a plus. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Strong social skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others. Flexibility to work independently and adapt to changing priorities. Good hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and attention to detail. Capable of lifting items over 75 lbs. and operating equipment safely. Working Conditions: Varied work environments including tight spaces, wet areas, and temperature fluctuations. Physical requirements include standing, kneeling, and occasional lifting of heavy items. Exposure to hot water, chemicals, and odors typical of kitchen environments.
