As a Certified/Special Education Teacher, you'll play a crucial role in facilitating student learning, collaborating with colleagues, and supporting families and stakeholders in our virtual school community.
Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality virtual instruction that fosters student engagement and achievement.
Collaborate with colleagues, families, and stakeholders to provide comprehensive support to students.
Build strong partnerships with adults involved in student learning and respond to student needs academically, socially, and emotionally.
Actively engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on best practices.
Provide Individualized Education Program (IEP) services and manage associated paperwork for students.
Qualifications:
Valid MN K-12 Special Education Teaching license required. ABS license preferred.
Solid background in equity, technology integration, and fostering high levels of student learning.
Bilingual skills in Spanish or Somali are desired.
Demonstrated commitment to consistent and reliable attendance.
Work Environment:
Our online teachers have the flexibility to work remotely, with the exception of a few required dates for workshops and staff development throughout the year.
