Responsibilities
• Clean all areas of the property including hallways, vacant apartments, parking areas, sidewalks, and alleyways• Perform basic maintenance tasks such as appliance and plumbing troubleshooting• Assist with inventory control of janitorial supplies• Perform painting and light maintenance as directed• Report maintenance problems immediately• Ensure proper use of equipment and safety procedures• Transport equipment to various properties• Attend staff and resident meetings as required• Assist with social program activities• Be on call for emergency duty
Requirements
• High school education or equivalent• Full-time janitorial experience• Certificate of Training Program completion preferred• Ability to lift 50 pounds• Good safety habits• Highly organized• Multitasking and self-motivated skills• Ability to work with lawn machinery and power tools• Plumbing and mechanical aptitude• Sensitive to diverse cultures and excellent customer service skills• Ability to work at multiple sites• Must provide own hand tools• Must have a vehicle, insurance, and good driving record• Proof of COVID vaccination or exemption required
