Internal Accountant

Responsibilities
• Extensive use of PROCAS Accounting, Timekeeping, and Expense Reporting Software• Extensive use of Excel for all functions within the Accounting and Finance Department• Extensive use of ADP – Payroll System• Enter employees into PROCAS and allocate the appropriate CLINS/LCATS, Hours, and Rates• Create and submit contract invoices into Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) and other government submission platforms• Monitor payment portals weekly and provide AR reports, record payments, and follow up on overdue invoices• Validate and enter accounts payable for various contracts and general operations• Assist with monthly closing of the books and prepare financial reports• Support audit requirements and end-of-year tax documentation• Perform other administrative and analyst duties as assigned
Requirements
• BA/BS Degree• Must be US Citizen• Five or more years of relevant experience in corporate accounting, AR/AP, and payroll• Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate results quickly• Strong communication skills• Experience with robust financial accounting systems• Ability to perform financial transaction research and analysis• Comfortable interacting with multiple financial services providers• Must live in the greater Washington DC region• Preferred: CPA licensure or master's degree in accounting/business/finance
