We are looking for an experienced Interior Designer to join our custom build design and construction firm. This position requires advanced AutoCAD and SketchUp skills and the ability to coordinate with vendors, trades and clients. The successful candidate will be a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and strong design background. What You Will Be Doing Provide comprehensive support to clients in material and product selections. Coordinate with vendors, trades, estimators to maintain current and relevant selection offerings. Act as point of contact through selection process, actively listen to customer needs. Ensure Design Studio reflects current trends and relevant selection choices. Schedule update meetings with vendors and trades for selection offering reviews. Develop selection packages for clients and educate Heartland staff on requirements, meet with clients for selection processes and architectural design phases. Review client's design style and lifestyle, provide input on space planning/ functionality. Coordinate off-site visits to vendors with clients, provide furniture and accessory staging direction. Document "To-Do" requests, material choices, sketches in BuilderTrend during selection meetings. Maintain relevant information in company's database for each client, communicate architectural drawing changes. Prepare Project Manager Binder, ensure proper documentation/installation drawings for clients. Assist with marketing initiatives on Social Media, in networking events, creating vignettes with material selections for display. Participate in product training, education opportunities to improve our firm's processes and systems. What You Need for this Position A degree in Interior Design required. 5+ years experience in Interior Design or related field. Proficiency in reading architectural plans, detail-oriented with ability to oversee entire project. Experience with architectural design software such as Chief Architect, AutoCAD, SketchUp preferred. Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software quickly. Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, Ability to quickly establish a high level of trust and credibility with clients. Strong visualization and problem-solving abilities.
