Our client is a government lab  that has a research library that is currently working to fully catalog and digitize its historical technical report collection in print format. They need assistance reviewing collection contents for classification, indexing, cataloging, preparing, and storing published technical information in print format. Checking for digital copies in trusted repositories like OSTI.gov or HathiTrust.org by conducting searches following well-established procedures.
Developing or fundamental professional expertise, applies laboratory policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues. Utilizes standard principles, theories, concepts and techniques as recognized within the records management, archives, or library profession. Provides resolutions to an assortment of problems of moderately complex scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Contributes to the fulfillment of projects and organizational objectives. Follows established directions. Receives detailed instructions on new projects or assignments. Work is reviewed for accuracy, soundness of judgment and overall adequacy and while in progress. Uses judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate action. Education
Position requires a minimum of two years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be able to lift print materials and/or archival boxes up to 25 pounds.
