This role will be working on KitchenAid branded appliances with the potential to work on Whirlpool Corporation's many other brands in the future. This is an onsite position located at our Benton Harbor, MI location.Your responsibilities will includeCreating the customer experience for the next generation of home appliances Support efforts to understand emerging trends, seek out real-life insights, conceive user product design solutions, and assure consumer desirabilityCollaborating with senior designers on conceptualization, visualization, and development of new products having a moderate level of difficulty, sense of aesthetics and user experienceWorks to understand and support the development of User Experience and Brand Design strategiesDevelops a basic manufacturing and industry knowledge, user needs, processes, and design influencers to develop a wide range of desirable conceptsLearn the product development processes, people, and design valuesManages personal time based on a detailed task list and delivery timelinesCapable of communicating design solutions with internal design teamsWith direction from the supervisor, creates documentation of design assets for various projectsInfluences peer teams within GCD by creating desirable assets, develops personal professional skills, comprehends and executes strategiesSupports senior design staff in the design process to reach clear, defined, and inspiring final design solutions. With moderate direction, manage creative activities for assigned tasks.
