This position will be the primary point of contact for Workforce Development of our ID1 BoiseTraining Centerandrequiresrelocating to Boise, Idaho.Relocation assistance is available.The person coming into this role will be tasked with leading a team whose responsibilities will include support of project management, as well as the analysis, design, development, implementation, andthe delivery of technical training and high-volume manufacturing conceptsand disciplines.As a part of the Workforce Development team(WFD), youwillalsolead thecompanyFETA (Front-end technical academy) program,maintaintraining records, materials, and forms, teach classes and workshops as needed, andassistin the presentation of material for different initiatives.Responsibilities and TasksLead Idaho Expansion Workforce DevelopmentTechnical Training and DocumentationTeamRegularly review team projects and issues to ensure that the highest priorities have correctfocus.Develop positive relationships with counterparts in other Micron Fabs and the central organization.Work toidentifyand to implement Best Known Methods into teamoperation.Manageconflict in the team by makingaccuratedecisions,maintaininga positive and constructive work environment, andestablishingan encouragingatmosphere.Performance ManagementMeet 1:1 with team members at least every 2 weeks to review progress on goals,objectives,training,andoverall performance.Work with direct reports toestablishcareer development opportunities anddirection.Establish performance expectations for directreports.Lead Projects and MetricsIdentifyprojects and apply developed project management skills to small and large projects for intra departmental, interdepartmental, and inter-siteteams.Participateinor lead multifaceted complex projects of critical importance toMicron.Coach and MentorSupport individuals transitioning tovarious positionswithin thedepartment.Provide backgroundassistanceto less experienced WDS in task force/quality teamsituations.Analyze NeedsUnderstand type of analysisrequired.Perform analysis and recommendappropriateaction.Resolveappropriate evaluationmethods.Present results to collaborators.Gather input from participants and managementregardingtraining delivery.Facilitate and Consult InternallyEnable communication between groups by engaging the right groups/people in training discussions and decisions.Promote opportunities for involvement of department personnel in customer initiatives.Look for opportunities to integrate training, documentation, OD efforts into support of customer requests.Share lessons learned and Best Know Methods with other department teams.(Career) CounselCommunicate resources for continuing education to employees.Articulate opportunities within different career paths – Production, Engineering, Technician, etc.Discuss at basic level the education requirements for progression on each career path.EducationBachelor'sor requisite experiencepreferred.Applicable Project Manager CertificationsRequired Experience5years in workforce development (preference for semiconductor domain)focusing on technical documentation and technical training.PreferredExperienceExperiencewithPSM/RMPsystems.Experienceleadingthetechnical documentation process of new systems, equipment,process, andtool installation.5 years of experience with a high-volume manufacturing and production site.3 Years of team/peoplemanagementexperience.As a world leader in the semiconductor industry, Micron is dedicated to your personal wellbeing and professional growth.
