Cepeda Systems and Software Analysis, Inc. , a rapidly growing small business, is currently seeking a Human Resources Analyst/AFSO to join the team as an integral member of a group of government, military, and contractor personnel that provide program, engineering, and technical support on a wide variety of projects.

Responsibilities and Duties: As a Human Resources Analyst/Alternate Facility Security Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the HR department in various administrative tasks and functions. You will assist with recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and HR & Security compliance activities. Key Responsibilities: Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and requests. Assist in maintaining employee records and databases. Support HR investigations and disciplinary actions as needed. Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records. Benefits Administration: Assist employees with benefits enrollment and inquiries. Coordinate with benefit providers and assist with open enrollment activities. Maintain accurate records of employee benefits participation. HR Compliance: Assist in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Support HR audits and document retention efforts. Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures. Maintain accurate, up-to-date human resources records and documentation. Alternate Security Facility Officer (AFSO): AFSO duties include managing the security clearance process for employees, contractors, and visitors, including initial investigations, periodic reviews, and renewals. General Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the HR department. Prepare HR-related documents, reports, and presentations. Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned such as, but not limited to: Planning & execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, & holiday parties. Conducting or assisting with new hire orientations. Answers and directs departmental phone calls. Receives and distributes office mail. Schedules and organizes appointments; takes minutes during departmental meetings. Type and proofread documents and correspondence produced by department. Processes required paperwork for employee transfers, changes in job classification, salary increases, and other related employment matters. Preparation of human resource reports such as attendance, new hire, and turnover reports. Prepares purchase orders for human resource office. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or related field. (Experience will be considered in lieu of degree). Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude. Demonstrated problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with many different functions and employees at all levels of the company. Ability to obtain and hold a Top-Secret Clearance Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Knowledge of HR laws and regulations is desirable. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
