Responsibilities
• Manage enrollments, eligibility, and status changes for group benefit programs• Ensure accuracy, legal compliance, consistency, and confidentiality in benefit administration• Process benefit enrollments for new hires and newly eligible employees• Respond to inquiries from employees regarding benefits• Administer benefit claim resolution, change reporting, and COBRA compliance• Administer FMLA/LOA requests, tracking eligibility, medical certifications, and return-to-work efforts• File and report workers' compensation claims• Process and track tuition reimbursement requests and reimbursements• Administer the HALO recognition program• Serve as a backup to ER/Compliance Specialist & Benefits Administrator
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience• Minimum of 3+ years of proven work experience as an HR Specialist or HR Generalist• Solid understanding of labor and employment laws• Comfortable with ambiguity and fast-paced environments• Experience with Payroll & HRIS systems• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint• Excellent oral and written communication skills• Patience and sensitivity in handling personal information• Ability to maintain confidentiality• Time management and prioritization skills• Excellent spelling, grammar, and attention to detail• Creative problem-solving capabilities• Flexibility and ability to work well in a team environment
